Not mentioned in either the New York Times or Washington Post story about Larry Summers' resignation from Harvard was David McClintick's Institutional Investor article, How Harvard Lost Russia. As mentioned in a previous posting, that article was credited as an important factor in Summer's troubles by The Harvard Crimson. That both the Times and the Post left out any mention of the very real scandal over the Harvard Institute for International Development, and allegations surrounding Larry Summers' role, indicates that it was no coincidence -- the Harvard Institute for International Development connection was indeed the straw that broke the camel's back.
